The Organising Committee warmly welcomes you to the Oceania Chondrichthyan Society Conference 2024!

This will be the first time the society holds an in-person gathering since the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are very excited to meet all of you to learn about all the exciting work that's taking place in the world of elasmobranchs!

The conference will be held on 3-5 April 2024, at the beautiful Deakin University Waterfront campus in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.

Geelong is Victoria's second largest city, and is an easy one-hour bus ride from Melbourne Airport. Geelong is well known  for its events and festivals, including sport, music, cars, food, art and markets. Geelong is also a gateway to the world-famous Great Ocean Road, which boasts stunning views of the Southern Ocean and some of the most pristine beaches you'll ever see. The surrounding Port Phillip Bay is also teeming with marine life, which presents a great opportunity for those who might be interested in a leisure dive or snorkel. Others who prefer to remain dry will be spoilt for choice with the many vineyards and nature trails around.

We look forward to seeing as many of you possible in Geelong soon!

Thank you to our sponsors!
