Membership Options

The OCS has a wide membership base with members spread around the world. We have a variety of membership options that all give the following benefits:

  • Apply for our student research funding through our annual award sponsored by Passions of Paradise*

  • Attend our annual society conference

  • Apply for student travel grants to attend our conference*

  • Access to the OCS mailing list where members share new research, news articles, important announcements and job advertisements from external institutions

  • Access to the OCS quarterly newsletter with articles written by our members and executive council

Memberships renewals are due in June

​

* Students must be a member for at least 6 months to be considered for awards

Choose from the membership options below:

  • Standard 1-year membership ($40 AUD)

  • Standard 3-year membership ($100 AUD)

​

  • -NEW- Lab membership ($80 AUD)

    • Option includes membership for PI + 3 students

    • Additional students may be included at $20 AUD pp.

​

  • * 1-year student membership ($20 AUD)

  • -NEW- ** 3-year student membership ($50 AUD)

​

  • ***1 year developing country membership ($20 AUD) 

 

* Proof of student status required. Please send a copy of your student ID to memberships@oceaniasharks.org.au

** Proof of student status required. Applicants may only apply for this option ONCE throughout a course.
